  3. I visited thirumala on 9th August 2017 as senior citizen along with my wife. I reached there around 6.45am and already there were 200 person of both seniors and handicapped present. I left from tirupati at 5 am. We were put in an enclosure from 8am to 10.30 am and there were around 2500 people given this concession. We were given hot pongal n coffee.
But sadly the volunteers have serious language problem n they are unable to guide people outside Andhra. I was sitting in seat n one volunteer shouted in telugu get up from here since handicapped people need to sit n enter first. U told him I cannot follow his language and told him not to shout at senior like me aged 67 years.
They were releasing seniors handicapped all together with general people n it was pathetic to see people pushing seniors and handicapped.
I decided not to visit such a mismanaged temple. Volunteers and staff inside the main sanctum take money and allow their kith and friends disregarding seniors and handicapped between 10.30am to 11.30 am which is reserved for seniors and handicapped.
God only can save this temple from such unruly mob staff.
Please select staff who can speak English and hindi.
Hope this reaches the right people in TTD.

    2. Maybe Mr.shankaran couldn't understand what they say in Telugu. I have accompanied senior citizen aged more than 80 years. Their intention is that, able person though a senior citizen should should give seats and space to handicap person and weak senior citizens so that they will not be pushed. If something wrong happens to senior citizen, action will be taken on those staff only. That may be the reason for their shouting at other people. Ofcourse language is a problem But TTD is not a airliner to recruit multi linguistic. They are using the volunteer called as Seva to assist senior citizen who are finding difficult to walk through the queue line. But for commuting to waiting hall they have arranged battery car, whereas at the exit no such arrangement is there. Senior citizen and differently abled persons had to walk a long distance

  6. Last time i do not remember exact date, I accompanied three Sr citizens upto the gate, leaving them there i got into special darshan of 300/, i had darshan of lord within two hours . Later i heard that CM-AP accompanied Chief Justice of India for lord darshan and Sr citizens in their que for more than four hours, my relatives could not stand in que for so long and they returned back after spending 3 hrs in line.
I request the TTD authorities to arrange some means so that atleast Sr. Citizens do not suffer on account of VVIP movements.they could not had lord's darshan despite spending 3 hrs in que.

  7. Ttd is changing many things without considering the difficulties of the senior citizens. One has to stand in Q morning 6 clock for getting darshan tickets for both the slots ie 10 and 3pm. This is only to possible to the people who stay overnight on tirumala hills. people who reach Tirumala after 7 am or little late they are missing this opportunity as all the distant trains reaches thirupathi in the morning only. please consider as the 7 am time is not suits many people. give a thought my dear E.O SIR

  11. Darsan of Srinivasa is like a yagyna and we may have to take some pain and risk. To help reduce such difficulty this sr citizen dardan is introduced. Mostly arrangements like free milk tiffin etc are also provided.with all this somebody experienced problem means that may be an exigency. In Tirumala almost all languages are spoken and most of the viditors r comfortable. In large institutions where lakhs of ppl are dealt some problems do occur and i feel we shd be little patient to have darsan of Lord.I visited Tirumala as sr citizen and had comfortable darsan in about an hour after letting out from the place.

  24. We were able to have a very comfotable Darshan of Lord Venkateswara utilising the Senrior Citizen entry point on 17.01.2018. We reached the Senior citizen counter at 7.15 am which is located near the museum. While entering itself we were offered hot free coffee. We have taken Adhaar Card (original).Though I am 65 plus my wife was allowed to accompany me though she is below 65.There are four counters for issuing computerised tickets. They took photos of individuals and there were imprinted on the ticket. You can pay Rs.10/= one laddu which will be imprinted on the ticket.Once we got the ticket,we were taken to the senior citizens shed by a tempo travellor. While entering the shed, our tickets were checked and we went inside. There we were served with hot pongal and coffee. The volunteers were very kind and helpful. The gate of the shed was opened at 10AM and we were guided by voulnteers to enter the main gopuram entry point.During this period, no other persons were allowed except senior citizens.Hence the que moved very smothly without any pushing.Inside the sanctum sanctorum also, the volunteers were kind enough and just they requested us to move forward witout physically pushing. We were able to comple the Darshan within 20 minutes from shed to Sannidhi. When we went around the sannnidhi and drop the offerings to the hundial, there was no crowd at all.We were able to walk freely and come out equally freely. Thanks to TTD Devasthanam officials for giving opportunity to have smooth and comfortable darshan of Lord Venkateswara.I request all seniors to avail this opportunity. This opportunity can be availed once in six months only.Seniors above 65 can taken their blood relation along with them as excort with original Adhaar card.

    1. Thank you sir, very useful information. I am based out of Bangalore and currently my parents are visiting us. They would be setting out for West Bengal very soon, they wanted to visit Lord Venkateswara before they leave. No special darshan ticket is available so I was exploring senior citizen queue. My father is 65 and my mother is 56, but she is suffering from extreme knee pain and can't stand continuously for more than 10 mins. My doubt was if me and my wife can accompany them as escorts? Please advise.

    2. To my knowledge, your father can be accompanied either by your monther or by you or by your wife.since your mother is only 56 years old, she can go as excort to your father. You can accomapny them till the senior citizen que counter.Once they get their tickets, they will be comfortably taken to senior citizens shed by tempo travllor. For you and your wife you can try Rs.300/= special darshan on line booking on the same day of darshan at 10 or 11 am slot.Your parents will comfortably complete the darshan and come out of the temple around 10.45.You can ask them to wait outside the temple in a particular spot.Once both of you complete your darshan you can join them in the same spot. There is battery operated vehicle is available opposite to the PUSHKARNI(WATER TANK).The vehicle will take senior citizens and physically handicapped persons upto the APSRTC bus stand near the RAM BAGICHA GUEST HOUSE.Near to the bus stand all cars and jeeps are being parked. You can take a bus or hire a car or jeep from there to go to any place.

  26. 750 tickets for senior citizens including escorts are being issued for morning 10 AM darshan.Once the 10AM quota is completed only, they will issue tickets for 3PM darshan.Nobody need to go early in the morning 5AM or 6AM to go and stand in the counter. It is enough if you go and stand in the counter que at 7AM becasue there is no sitting facility in front of the counter.Hence do not trouble yourself by standing for 1 hr or 2hrs in front of the counter since the counter will open only at 7AM.

  29. You have to take your monther also along with you to the ticket counter along with original adhhar cards. They allow senior citizen along with one escort. It is enough if you just reach the counter at 7AM.Don't take your mother much before 7am and strain your mother. you will definitely get ticket for 10AM darshan.

We came to Tirumala on 11-02-2018 with family of ten to have darshanam of Lord. In a family two senior citizen aged 77 and 71 both wife and husband left at 10 AM for token and waited more than one hour in the Queue under the hot sun without sitting arrangements. Further waited another one hour for the bus.Hardly boarded the bus to reach the another place to wait till 3 pm and we had darshanam at 3.30 pm. These facilities are using by young people rather than older people. The queue looks like general one and not special one for senior citizens. Last year procedure is good and had good darshanam of the Lord. The present procedure is duplicate one to check the sr.citizens which is causing problems to those aged people who neither able to stand in the queue not wait for long 4to5 hours for darshanam. My other members of family on SPL qeqeue came out with one and half an hour after darshanam whereas we Sr.citizen waited such long hours. Who
should get preferences whether Sr.citizens or Youngsters? The old procedure is best for one time checking of seniors to have early darshanam.
